The presence of dogs in a school setting has been shown to have a number of benefits for children. Dogs can provide comfort and companionship, which helps to reduce stress and anxiety levels. In addition, dogs can help to promote physical activity and social interaction among children. Furthermore, dogs can serve as a positive role model for children, teaching them about responsibility and caregiving. All of these factors can contribute to a more positive and productive learning environment.
Buddy's PALS is offered to educational institutions at no cost. Our organization partners with schools, universities and colleges, and libraries in Michigan. Teachers and organization staff with dogs are welcome to apply as Buddy's PALS handlers to potentially bring their dogs into their organization!
PROGRAMS & PROJECTS
Buddy's PALS offers a variety of programs and projects to bring comfort and stress reduction to classrooms and other educational institutions. Our highly trained dogs and handlers are here to assist with everyday learning and support students in need. Comfort Dogs in the Classroom
Our comfort dogs are trained to provide emotional support to children in the classroom. They can help reduce anxiety and stress, and create a more positive learning environment for everyone.
Our dogs and handlers are also trained to assist with everyday learning. They can help students improve their reading skills, increase their confidence, and provide additional support in the classroom.
We are committed to making a positive impact in the community. Our dogs and handlers are available for student educational community events and can provide comfort and support to those in need.
We offer comfort for stress related activities (like tests) for students of all ages. Our dogs and handlers are trained to provide a calming presence and help alleviate stress and anxiety.
We rely on volunteers to help us make a difference in the lives of students. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us to learn more.
